Chapter 4

Ok so ... chapter 4 was about hardware for educators. Input devices are used to enter data, programs, commands, and user responses into a computer. Some examples include keyboards, pointing devices, scanners, and digital cameras. Output devices are any computer component that is able to convey information to a user. Commonly used devices are printer, facsimile, speakers and headphones. Storage media is the physical material on which data, instructions, and information is kept. A commonly used storage medium is a disk which is a round flat piece of plastic or metal on which items can be encoded. A storage device is the mechanism used to record and retrieve these items instead to and from a storage medium. Some examples of storage devices are floppy disks, dvds and cds.
This week I learned a lot about concept maps. I think the Inspiration 8 program was very helpful and made it a lot easier to accomplish the task. If I ever had to create a map in the future I would enjoy using the program. I liked seeing the different ways to create the maps.
I dont really have anything to tell the class this week.
